Yes: a private, wood-fired hot tub on the wrap-around decking.

Are dogs allowed at The Shepherd?

Yes: The Shepherd is one of our three dog-friendly lodges, along with The Twitcher and The Fisherman . There's an enclosed garden for your dog to enjoy off the lead.

Is there a charge for bringing a dog?

Yes: £30 for the first dog and £15 for a second dog.

Is the garden fully enclosed?

Yes: The Shepherd has its own enclosed garden as part of the lodge, so your dog can roam safely off the lead.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is from 3:30pm and check-out is by 10am.

How does payment work?

A 50% deposit is taken at the time of booking, with the remaining balance due 60 days before arrival.

All our timber lodges are designed to impress both inside and out. Each of our five lodges has its own unique style, with top class finishes. Inside, you’ll find a huge open-plan kitchen, dining and living area with a cosy cast-iron log burner to keep you toasty in the winter months, they can also sleep up to 6 people so the whole family can enjoy time together. Through the patio doors you will find stunning views from the timber deck that’ll take your breath away.

What makes this lodge unique?

Nestled at the highest point of our site, you’ll find our Shepherd lodge, its wrap-around decking offers an idyllic setting to soak up the warm rays of the late evening sun. Your hot tub is conveniently positioned next to the lodge, providing a secluded retreat where you can unwind while still indulging in awe-inspiring views that surround you. This lodge is dog-friendly with its own enclosed garden, so your dog can roam safely off-lead while you relax.

A note from our Interior Designer

The Shepherd – Field life was the foundation for all the shades of green layered throughout this lodge. Light and bright, it feels quite romantic, especially in the main bedroom where the prettiest powder pink panelling frames the enchanting moss-covered dry stone walls outside.

Things to know

Check-in from 3:30 pm onwards, check out by 10 am. Early check in available from 1:30 pm for just £30.
We require a £200 pre-authorisation security deposit one week before your check-in date. This is returned to you on check-out, provided there are no losses or damages.
One car parking space is included per lodge.
