Large luxury timber lodges with outstanding views across the Wharfe Valley and fully equipped with everything you need for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway. Sleeping up to 6 people and featuring a large open plan kitchen and living area there is ample space for a fun filled family holiday. Step outside on to the raised timber deck to find comfy laid-back seating, hot tub, a dining set and fire pit. Sit back and enjoy the roar of the open fire whilst watching the sunset over the stunning Yorkshire hills.
Each of our timber lodges has a private log fuelled hot tub where you can completely unwind in the tranquillity of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park. An authentic and eco-friendly experience, our wood fired hot tubs will stay warm for up to 14 hours once they reach their optimum temperature. As darkness falls you will be amazed at the array of star constellations in ultra high definition like you have never seen before.
Built into the hillside, the campsite is beautifully terraced with dry stone walls providing level pitches for caravans, motorhomes, campervans and tents, some with electric hook up, all with far reaching views. Modern high quality amenity facilities are provided including hot showers, laundry facilities and washing up sinks. With a truly spectacular outlook and set within an amazing location, once you have stayed at Howgill you will want to come back year after year!

Howgill Lodge is a stone's throw away from the famous Dales Way walk with 80 miles of scenic hiking. Discover traditional off the beaten track villages and hamlets as you meander along the river. With routes suitable for kids all the way through to expert hill walkers, there is something here for everyone.
In the nearby village of Appletreewick there are 2 traditional country pubs; The Craven Arms and The New Inn. They both offer a warm Yorkshire welcome with good food, wine and beer. Ideal for a tasty lunchtime snack or a delicious evening meal, both pubs have plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the summer sun.
What could be better than the smell of fresh coffee and croissants first thing in the morning?
Be sure to visit our morning coffee shop for barista made coffee, freshly baked pastries and delicious hot chocolate. Our "baristas" are full of local knowledge and will be more than happy to help you plan your day – from walking to day trips we've got you covered!"
Our small onsite shop located in reception is perfect for anything you may have forgotten! Selling basic essentials from toothbrushes to baked beans and everything in between.
And of course, don't forget to call in for marshmallows to toast on your firepit, an essential ingredient of any camping trip!

We are very excited to share with you our new glamping lodges. Situated at the top of the site commanding the most exceptional views across the valley, the lodges look out over the spectacular Yorkshire Dales scenery. Imagine green rolling hills, dry stone walls and traditional stone barns dotted here and there with sheep grazing quietly in the distance.
Cook delicious pizza in your very own pizza oven, roast marshmallows on the glowing fire and as the evening gets cooler why not make some popcorn and get warm and cosy in front of the 32" tv to watch your favourite Netflix movies?

Situated on the Bolton Abbey Estate, one of the benefits of staying here at Howgill is the numerous riverside locations, check out Wharfe House Farm car park, Burnsall Bridge and Bolton Abbey for great views and all day riverside parking. On a bright summer's day, you can park up and take a refreshing dip in the river for a swim, before heading back to the campsite for bbq's and evening fun.
