Congratulations on choosing a David Bellamy Conservation Award Park for your holiday this year. Howgill Lodge is not only a Gold Award Park, but has sustained this position for five consecutive years.

It is the customers who have provided the information and endorsement for this park to achieve its special conservation status. Many members of the public have sent me their views during the season, and the accolades received were tremendous. These responses, along with the report on the park from independent wildlife/conservation assessors, helped me and my team to make this personal endorsement of their vision and hard work.
At the beginning of the scheme 10 years ago, I was amazed to find out how impressive some of our holiday parks really are environment wise. Super places for a great holiday with a real sense of being part of Britain's wonderful coastline and countryside; part of the local scene, a great neighbourhood overflowing with wildlife and lots of super things to see and do.
The aim of the Conservation Awards is to keep it this way by making holiday parks environmentally even better and this park is committed to doing just that.
Hooray, hooray, as the winning parks are rapidly becoming brand leaders in demand it is little wonder that more parks are joining the scheme. I dream of the day when every park is going for five Golds in a row.
